![]() Any less than 80% and you're probably off with a Surface Pro or a mid-level laptop and a nice tablet like an iPad Pro (which together wouldn't be much more than $2k for the i7 SB3), and anything over 80% you should probably just get a normal laptop and a cheap secondary tablet like a base model iPad. ![]() I think the Surface Book is a good convertible if you're looking for a device that's a laptop around 80% of the time. Really only good for short use or if you don't mind having the power cable straight into the clipboard. ![]() However, rip off that screen and you're looking at ~2 hours even on a lower power setting. My i7 SB3 13.5 gets around 9 hours of battery life in laptop mode even in "Better Performance" power mode which really opens up the CPU to boost to 25W whenever it can, while running enough chrome tabs over 4 virtual desktops to use 12GB of ram. It's kind of a "jekyll and hyde" situation.
